Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti] Romania). She was first gymnast to score a perfect 10 in an Olympic occasion. Bela Karolyi, later Romanian gymnastics coach, discovered Comaneci at just 6 years old. The first time she competed at the junior national championships in 1969 and finished 13th. She was the winner in the year 1970. Three gold medals were awarded in her very first contest in a junior pre-Olympic meeting in 1972, which was a communist countries. Between 1973 and 1974, she was the junior champion in all-round competitions. In her first international competition as a senior, in 1975 she bested the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva who was a five-time European champion, winning 4 gold and one silver medal. The first female to ever successfully complete reverse double saltos when dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager, she began performing in travelling shows such as Ice Capades as a skater along with her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol was a part of the entertainment business during her teenage years. When she was a child she started her career as an ice skater with Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. They featured staged ice skating performances.
