April Lockhart
April Lockhart is a born on July 4 April, 1995. As a seventh-grade student she began to take piano and guitar lessons. This ignited her passion for songwriting. When she was in seventh grade she began to take piano and guitar lessons. This ignited her interest to write songs. At the age of 14, April was devoted for a long period of time in creating song concepts and practicing the music she was playing. In the following months, April started going to NY and LA with her Dad so that they could both compose songs. April began including other topics in the book, Take My Hand, for the people in her life who are struggling in the face of peer pressure, disability or suicide. Lockhart collaborates with popular cosmetics brand Ilia as well as a lifestyle influencer with a huge following of her own. Lockhart was never born with a left-hand, which is what makes her the person she is. However, that's not the whole story. Lockhart acknowledges her handicap on her Instagram account, but she doesn't make it the focus of her story. It's a message. that we are all a part of a multitude and that we are all unique and that we are more than our physical selves. I don't want that to determine me. I do not wish to become a disability influencer in which I only talk about because there are so many other things about me. Lockhart says via video from her house in Nashville. And it doesn't affect my day-to-day life I do everything normally and I've found my own way to adjust the things. It's an integral part of my life, therefore it's important that we talk about the subject. Self-acceptance is a long marathon but Lockhart is a true inspiration on that front. Yet, she confesses to going through periods that made her feel uncomfortable about her appearance and wearing clothing which displayed her arms. Now, though she dons whatever she wants and posts pictures of herself in these outfits on social media, she is proud of herself. She says that self-love is a journey. It's not clear if you'll ever reach the end. That's true of everyone regardless of how much they are afraid. I believe having friends with you who are aware of you and know your heart is really important since they'll be those who will remind you what you worrying about?
