Allison Brooks Janney (born April 14 in 1970) is an American actor. Known for her performances across the screen and stage, she has received various awards, including an Academy Award a British Academy Film Award as well as a Golden Globe Award and seven Primetime Emmy Awards, in addition to being nominated for two Tony Awards. Allison Janney is a well-known actress who spent over 20 years in the regional theatre. She became famous for her role as White House press secretary C.J. Gregg on the well-known and critically acclaimed TV drama The West Wing (NBC 1999-2006). Allison Janney is a natural late bloomer. The permit to drive was not issued until the age of 17 years old, a full year before the majority of her classmates came from Ohio. Following her graduation from the university and had her first date, it didn't happen. Even though she auditioned at her 23rd birthday, she didn't appear on screen until her late 30s. Since stepping away from Mom in the year 2020, Faris has been very selective about her roles mostly performing in animated films, with the exception of the 2022 film The Estate. Faris In an exclusive announcement to PEOPLE she said the decision was not made deliberately. Anna Faris had left CBS's famous sitcom Mom before the end of the eighth season. In the beginning, Faris stated that she would be leaving to pursue new opportunities, however, she's now revealing details about the reasons she chose to take a break from acting that she claims wasn't an intentional decision when she made it. Janney is taking the wig she wore in order to celebrate the event. The first few seasons of the series, the actress earned more than $125,000 every episode. Faris made an estimated $200 per episode in the third and fourth seasons.
