Jenna Fischer's most recognizable part is as Pam Beesly in the highly loved television show The Office. Fischer was awarded two SAG Awards and an Emmy for her stellar performance on the comedy's ensemble.
In Fort Wayne Indiana, she spent most of her childhood living in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna was a spectator as her mother Anne was in the church stage. She was awed by performance and theater was instilled when she was a little girl.
After finishing The Office, Fischer, who is a trained actress in the theater, went back to her origins. The Off-Broadway show she starred in was the production Reasons to Be Happy which was written and directed by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller. In the following play, she was in Steve Martin's latest play Meteor Shower. It was an absurdist comedic piece opposite Greg Germann, Josh Stamberg and ran for an unprecedented time at the Old Globe Theatre.
Angela Kinsey from The Office (the co-star of Fischer) and her real life best friend Angela Kinsey of The Office, started a podcast in October, called Office Ladies. The show has since become extremely popular and is now in the Top Ten every single week. In its initial year, it had more than 200,000,000 downloads. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year Award in January 2021.
The Actor's Life is her first novel, and chronicles the road she took from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood and then to Hollywood, where she was an actress professionally. Her second, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is a memoir of her best friend and her experience in The Office.
